The current-generation Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 Heavy Duty line of trucks are due to receive an update for the 2019 model year. That’s still a long way out, but Ram is busy at work prepping the new trucks, with PickupTrucks.com recently spying a large chassis cab variant of the HD one-ton.
The photos show both 10-lug and 8-lug variants of the 2019 Ram 3500 HD chassis cab, both of which are four-door models. FCA has slipped some secret concealing camouflage over the front ends, hiding the hood, fenders, headlights and Ram’s recognizable crosshair grille.
While it’s likely Ram is testing some new updates with these pre-production 3500s, it’s possible we’re looking at something more. PickupTrucks.com’s photographers spottd some different suspension work happening underneath the trucks, which may be evidence that these are test mules for the next-gen Ram due in 2021 or later.
