The 2018 Jeep Wrangler has been caught by the camera once again, with JL Wrangler Forums spotting a camouflaged pre-production version of the SUV wearing what appears to be the production front grille.
The grille can be seen peeking from beneath a tarp-like black covering. To our eye, the grille is very similar to the current JK-generation Wrangler’s, however the slats appear to run longer vertically and are also wider. The photos also give us a look at the circular headlights, which JL Wrangler Forums says could be LED units, but we’re sure we can see a standard bulb through the mesh.
Apart from that, these photos don’t reveal thing much about the 2018 Wrangler we didn’t already know. There’s a more slanted windshield and grille section for better aerodynamics, a longer front end and wider fenders. This prototype also appears to be a Rubicon variant, sporting red Rubicon shocks, Wrangler JK Rubicon wheels and knobby BF Goodrich tires.
