Earlier this month Fiat Chrysler announced the Dodge Viper would be discontinued following the 2017 model year. It was a sad day for Viper fans the world over, but the revelation also came with some good news.
To celebrate the Viper’s 25-year production run, Dodge released five special edition Viper variants for the 2017 model year. The limited-run models are available now to order, but first, why don’t we get acclimated with them?
Four of the special-edition Vipers are based on the track-ready ACR model: the Viper VoooDoo II Edition ACR, Viper GTS-R Commemorative Edition ACR, 1:28 Edition ACR and Dodge Dealer Edition ACR. The VooDoo II is black with graphite ACR stripes, while the 1:28 Edition is black with red ACR stripes. The GTS-R features a white body with blue GTS stripes and also American flag badging on the B-pillars. The Dealer Edition is white with blue ACR stripes and a red driver stripe.
For those less likely to take their Viper on the racetrack, there’s the Viper Snakeskin Edition GTC. As its name would suggest, the model features a Snakeskin Green exterior with a custom snakeskin patterned SRT stripe. There’s also a GT black interior and a serialized instrument panel.
You can get familiar with the five new 2017 Dodge Vipers by watching the Fiat Chrysler video above. If you’re interested in the limited-run versions, FCA made them available to order June 24th.
