Everyone’s favorite internet automotive presenter, Chris Harris, has joined the Top Gear and team. That much you might’ve already known, but did you know he will also be hosting a special Top Gear web show made in part with the Top Gear magazine?
According to the BBC, Harris will be presenting and driving “the world’s most exciting new cars,” in a series of new web films including the Ferrari F12 TdF, Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Verde, Viper ACR and many, many others ,we’re sure.
“Obviously I’m thrilled to be making beautiful films like the F12tdf piece for the Top Gear television show,” Harris said in a statement. “but the longer-form, more detailed web films I’ve made with Neil Carey over the years remain my natural format, and broadcasting them through TG’s huge online audience is a dream come true.
“If you want to know even more technical details about cars, hear more in-depth analysis, I hope we’ll be the perfect destination. I want the films to be just as they were on Chris Harris on Cars. With added slow-motion slides.”
The details of the first Top Gear web film featuring Harris are yet to be announced, but for now, you can enjoy the trailer for the series embedded above. If you’re a true car person, you’ll likely enjoy this, and Harris and Rory Reid’s new show ‘Extra Gear’, a bit more than Chris Evans’ so far polarizing take on the BBC staple.
