The European-spec Abarth 124 Spider debuted earlier this year at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, bringing it with it a host of sporty upgrades to differentiate it from the standard Fiat 124 Spider.
If you liked what you saw at Geneva in March, you’ll be happy to hear Abarth has officially opened up the order books for the 124 Spider in Europe. Prices will start at 40,000 euros in Italy, with the first deliveries expected in September.
The Abarth 124 Spider differs from the Fiat variant of the roadster with its sporty front and rear fascias, 18-inch Abarth wheels, quad exhaust tips and optional Matte black exterior elements.
On the performance side of things, the Abarth 124 features a 168 horsepower version of the standard car’s 1.4-liter turbocharged engine mated to a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. There’s also Brembo brakes, stiffer suspension with Bilstein dampers, a dual mode ‘Record Monza’ exhaust and more.
