The Maserati Levante will now be offered with a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 gasoline engine in the United Kingdom after the automaker initially planned on only bringing the 3.0-liter V6 diesel to the region, AutoExpress reports.
In addition to the arrival of the gasoline Levante in the UK, AutoExpress also claims the rumored Levante Hybrid, which will use the hybrid system from the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid, will arrive in two years’ time.
The Levante will officially go on sale in the UK this November – six months later than the rest of Europe and North America. This is due to the time needed to engineer the car for right-hand drive, so other RHD markets will also receive the new SUV at a later date.
Both the 350 horsepower and more powerful 430 horsepower V6 engines will be offered in the Levante in the UK. Pricing has yet to be announced, however Maserati is expected the entry-level 275 horsepower diesel to start at £54,000 while the range-topping Levante S will cost around £60,000.
