The king of the Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah, is obviously the Wrangler and its predecessors. That doesn’t mean you need a traditional solid axle Jeep to survive Moab’s trials, however, as off-road tuning outfit Daystar proved at this year’s edition of the Easter Jeep Safari.
Daystar brought out their custom renegade equipped with its bolt-on ‘Comfort Ride’ lift kit to Moab. The kit puts small spacers in between the Renegade’s shock and strut assemblies and the mount, giving it an extra 1.5-inches of ground clearance.
The lift, as Jalopnik explains, simply allows for the Renegade to be fitted with larger tires – key for making it through Moab unscathed. Bigger tires will negatively affect the performance of the 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, however, so be sure to keep your priorities in mind when deciding on whether or not to lift your Renegade.
