Ferrari’s custom Tailor Made program can be utilized to make some truly amazing creations, such as the Ferrari California T inspired by the famous Eric Clapton-owned 250 SWB. But this Tailor Made Ferrari 488 GTB, inspired by a rally-going Ferrari 308 GTB, is the best Tailor Made Ferrari to date, if you ask us.
In 1981 and 1982, Jean-Claude Andruet won the Tour de France Auto in a Group 4 308 GTB. The French Racing Blue car carried Pioneer Audio sponsorship decals and also wore gold finished wheels, details that have been applied to the Tailor Made 488 GTB built in its honor.
Charles Pozzi Ferrari in Paris ordered the custom 488, which also features a red fabric similar to the 308’s and an aluminum cabin floor. The vehicle debuted at the Tour Auto Optic 2000 in Paris, a road rally boasting more than 250 participants that celebrated its 25th anniversary in this year.
The only thing missing with this recreation is rally-inspired light bar. If someone is willing to bolt one to the front of a Ferrari F40, surely Charles Pozzi Ferrari can get around to sticking one on their now famous 488 GTB.
