Fiat Chrysler’s Jeep and Ram brands walked away from the Northwest Automotive Press Association’s 22nd annual ‘Mud Fest’ with numerous awards, with each vehicle entered by both brands winning its respective category, the automaker has announced.
The 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee 75th Anniversary Edition won NWAPA’s Family Utility class, while the 2016 Jeep Wrangler 75th Anniversary Edition won the ‘Extreme Capability’ class. The 2016 Ram Rebel took home top honors in the organization’s ‘Pickups’ category.
“Jeep and Ram build vehicles that know how to win and the NWAPA members agree after testing them in the Pacific Northwest” said NWAPA president Nik Miles. “The company has a strong reputation for capability and they proved it with winning titles at this year’s Mudfest.”
“The Ram Rebel, Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Grand Cherokee impressed our members with their ability to not only traverse any obstacle, but to do so with a unique sense of style and comfort,” added NWAPA member and event chair Ryan Douthit.
In addition to the Grand Cherokee, Wrangler and Ram Rebel’s awards, the 2016 Grand Cherokee 75th Anniversary Edition was also named NWAPA’s ‘Outdoor Activity Vehicle of the Year’, which is handed down to the overall winner from the 2-day test.
