The Fiat 124 Spider is a car that just begs you take the scenic route home. There aren’t any beautiful, winding roads here in the Metro Detroit area, though, so if we were to buy one of the turbocharged sportscars we’d be taking frequent road trips to find them.
The coastal roads of Southern Italy are a perfect example of the types of scenic roads Fiat designed the 124 Spider to tackle. With back-to-back turns and a beautiful ocean view, the south of Italy is the type of place where you almost have to own an open-top sportscar like the 124 Spider.
Fiat recently took one of hose fancy 360-degree cameras with them on a drive of the Italian coast in a 124 Spider, allowing us to temporarily teleport there and enjoy a short relaxing cruise in the new sportscar. It’s about as close to driving the 124 Spider you’ll get before it arrives at dealers later this year, so be sure to check it out above.
