Fiat Chrysler today announced it has partnered with NBCUniversal, Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment to co-promote the upcoming move ‘The Life Of Pets’ and its recently launched minivan, the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica.
The advertising campaign will include multi-episode custom content pieces that feature “Late Night” host Seth Meyers and his dog, Frisbee, animation from ‘The Secret Life Of Pets’ and the 2017 Pacifica. The episodes will debut on NBC’s ‘Today’ before airing on the Golf Channel, NBCSN, Sprout and USA Network.
In addition to the custom content piece, the ad campaign will conclude with a final original content episode and a live spot during an airing of ‘Late Night with Seth Meyers’. For those that don’t tune into NBC’s various networks, the episodes will also be posted on its various social media platforms and shared on BuzzFeed and Vox from April 11 through to July.
“The opportunity to partner with NBCUniversal to create engaging content featuring talent from across its diverse television network portfolio presented a strong media platform with incredible reach to tell the story of the all-new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica,” said Fiat Chrysler CMO Olivier Francois. “Leveraging the unprecedented level of functionality, versatility and technology of the vehicle, including our UConnect theater, together with ‘The Secret Life of Pets,’ a film for mom, dad and their children, is the perfect combination to introduce audiences to the all-new Chrysler Pacifica as the ultimate family vehicle.”
The ‘Life Of Pets’ ad campaign is one in a recent and lengthy line of Hollywood tie-ins for Fiat Chrysler. The automaker was also involved in co-promotions for Zoolander 2, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Furious 7, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which featured online and television ads and special Uber promotions, music videos and more.
