A customized 2015 Jeep Wrangler ‘Commando’, which is the result of a partnership between 4 Wheel Parts and Hendrick Dynamics, will be sold off at Barrett-Jackson’s upcoming Palm Beach 2016 sale, with all proceeds benefitting The Patriot Foundation.
Hendrick Dynamics is looking to score a military contract with their new Jeep Wrangler Commando, which they debuted at the 2015 Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah. The example to be auctioned off at Barrett-Jackson comes with standard military-inspired bells and whistles in addition to front- and rear-mounted winches, a lighting package, an armor package and a special patriotic mural painted on the hood.
Apart from the obvious suspension and wheel upgrades and various cosmetic revisions, the Wrangler Commando is a standard Wrangler Unlimited beneath the bodywork. That means Chrysler 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 is powering all four wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission, which is more than enough to power the Jeep over rocks and through off-road trails.
Barrett-Jackson is expecting the Wrangler Commando to grab at least $225,000 at auction, with every single cent from that sale benefitting The Patriot Foundation and the wounded U.S. Army warriors they seek to help. Check out the listing here for additional information and photos.
