After debuting the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Verde in 2015, Fiat Chrysler yesterday rolled out the standard version of the new compact four-door at the 2016 Geneva International Motor Show. The Giulia will join the Alfa Romeo 4C in North American Alfa showrooms later this year and will compete with established luxury nameplates like the BMW 3-Series and Audi A4.
As a leaked document indicated, the new Giulia will be launched a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine and a 2.2-liter diesel engine in Europe. North America will likely only receive the 2.0-liter four-cylinder, along with the high-performance 505 horsepower 3.9-liter V6 powered Giulia QV, which made its North American debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show late last year.
Alfa CEO Harald J. Wester presented the new Giulia yesterday in a press conference that after layed out the philosophy behind Giulia and describes how technology from the car is trickling through its model range. Check it out in the video below before the car’s launch of Europe and abroad in April 15th.
