Tablets and smartphones have pretty much negated the need for newspapers and magazines. Why carry around a cumbersome collection of papers when you can quickly access the info on your smartphone? That’s the type of thinking Chrysler probably had when they thought up the The Uconnect Vehicle User Guide, which is featured in the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica.
The UConnect Vehicle User Guide first debuted in the 2016 Dodge Charger, Challenger and Chrysler 300 and works sort of like an electronic owner’s manual. It allows occupants to easily access vehicle information (such as operating instructions and safety and security features), view vehicle maintenance info and find contact information for roadside assistance, among much more.
The user guide features four main categories: Vehicle Operation, Uconnect Radio, Phone & Navigation, Vehicle Maintenance and Emergency & Support. These make it easy for the user to find exactly what they are looking for, whether its ideal vehicle fluid levels or just info on how to pair their smartphone with UConnect.
“The Vehicle User Guide application is a great addition to the array of comfort and convenience technologies available in the all-new Chrysler Pacifica,” Tricia Hecker, Fiat Chrysler’s head of connected services, said in a statement. “The Vehicle User Guide application minimizes the everyday stresses by providing drivers with effortless accessibility of their vehicle information.”
The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica will reach dealers later this year.
