The Jeepspeed off-road racing series, which allows only for Jeep-branded vehicles to compete in its events, will have some new entries this year thanks to Tuff Stuff 4×4.
Tuff Stuff 4×4, a Jeep and off-road tuning company, has announced it is developing a turn-key desert racer based on the Jeep Wrangler for the Jeepspeed series. The race prepped Wrangler will cost just $50,000 and will be specially designed to withstand the rigors of the Jeepspeed series.
The new Jeepspeed Wrangler will feature special Poison Spyder bumpers, race seats with PRP harnesses, a built Turbo 400 trans, an LQ4 engine built by Pacific Fab, King Shocks suspension, Ruff Stuff front and rear axles, 5:14 gears and axles a full roll cage and much more.
Three drivers, Brett Maister, Mike Barnette, and Matt Lovell, have already signed up to campaing the new Tuff Stuff desert racer in the Jeepspeed series. Photos of the Jeep have not yet been shown, however they should become available after it makes its debut later this year.
