While the majority of car enthusiasts are patiently waiting for Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May to return to the small screen with their unnamed motoring program, their ex-employers the BBC are hard at work trying to save what’s left of Top Gear.
The new program, which will star Chris Evans, Matt LeBlance, Sabine Schmitz, Eddie Jordan, Rory Reid and of course The Stig, was recently promoted by the BBC in a short trailer. The trailer gives us glimpses at some of the segments to expect in rethought Top Gear and also includes shots of the Ferrari F12 TdF and Dodge Viper ACR.
While the YouTube community has reacted negatively to the trailer, we think it shows some promise. The reason Top Gear got so big to begin with was because of Clarkson, Hammond and May, however there just may be enough car nuts in the world to attract enough viewers to keep this new version afloat. We can’t wait to see what Harris, Schmitz and Jordan can do behind the wheel, and we’re sure Evans has thought up some humorous gags to keep us all entertained.
Check out the trailer above and let us know if your equally as optimistic in the comments.
