The new Jeep Crew Chief 715 concept will be one of the more imposing vehicles at the 2016 Easter Jeep Safari this year, boasting a burly Jeep Kaiser M715-inspired design with other heritage styling cues.
The Crew Chief 715 is based on a Wrangler Unlimited and features Steel front and rear bumpers, Jeep Performance rock rails, 20-inch beadlock wheels wrapped in 40-inch NDT military tires, special ‘Tactical Green’ paint, a 5-foot cargo bed and front- and rear-mounted winches. Enhancing its capability are Dana 60 front and rear axles and a 4-inch lift kit with Fox Remote Reservoir shocks.
The interior is “no nonsense,” Jeep says, with leather bucket seats with canvas inserts, aircraft-inspired control switches and gauges, Mopar all-weather mats and a centrally-located nivagational compass in the media system. Under the hood is Jeep’s standard 3.6-liter pentastar V6 engine mated to a five-speed automatic transmission.
