A Jeep driver recently careened off a bridge in Alabama, with the vehicle becoming suspended in a tree, WNCN reports.
A Jeep was travelling westbound on Highway 280 on the Oglethorpe Bridge across the Chattahoochee River when the vehicle veered off the bridge, flipped and landed in a tree. The driver suffered “significant and severe,” injuries, with some witnesses reporting that he may have fallen from the vehicle on impact.
A witness filmed a video of the Phenix City and Columbus fire crews retrieving the Jeep from the tree, however it’s not clear from the grainy video which model of Jeep it is. The tree’s branches were trimmed before a crane was brought in order to extract the vehicle.
