Initially it was reported that Jeep would debut its replacement for the aging Patriot and Compass compact crossovers at the New York International Auto Show next week, but new leaked images of the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk tell a different story.
These photos come courtesy of Jalopnik, however they aren’t accompanied by any official info about the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk. All we have to by is what we seen in the pictures, which is a Grand Cherokee with similar touches to the Renegade and Cherokee Trailhawk such as red recovery hooks, knobbier off-road tires, a mild suspension lift and blacked out trim.
Inside the sportier treatment continues with red stitching, silver and black dash trim, a Trailhawk badge on the steering wheel and black seating with suede inserts, among other changes. Jeep appears to have also swapped out its T-shaped gear selector for a more run of the mill one.
Jeep chief Mike Manley was recently quoted in saying he has some “pretty exciting,” news in regards to the Grand Cherokee to announce at NYIAS, and it appears we now know what he was talking about. Stay tuned to FC Authority for information on the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk as it becomes available.
