Lego’s new ‘Creator’ series allows you to build many different vehicles made from the popular plastic bricks, including a Ferrari F40. But one Mopar fan saw a vehicle in the Creator series that Lego had to yet to release, so he did as any good Lego enthusiasts does – he built it.
Motor Authority stumbled upon a Lego 1996 Dodge Viper on the Lego Ideas page, which allows Lego fans to submit their own creation for review. The community votes on the various submissions and if one gets the support of 10,000 users, it’s sent to Lego for review. The company then looks it over, maybe makes a few tweaks, and releases it as a kit.
The Viper, done up by user BenPSmith1977, is instantly identifiable as a model of the first-generation of the American supercar, despite being made from square blocks. The bodylines are accurate (as is the paint scheme) and there’s even small details like a center-mount exhaust and rather accurate interior.
So if you want a Lego Dodge Viper on you desk at work or at home, head on over to Lego Ideas and back this awesome project.
