Fiat launched the special edition Panda ‘Kung Fu Panda’ edition earlier this month at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. The Panda is a tie-in with Kung Fu Panda 3, which is currently in theatres, but it will also help benefit Panda bears in the wild.
The Kung Fu Panda differs from a standard Fiat Panda with its black and white color scheme, black headlight surrounds and special panda bear face headrests (not made from real panda bear face). In addition to DreamWorks studios, the vehicle was also made in collaboration with environmental group Conservation International and will help fund Panda conservation efforts.
A Fiat Panda Kung Fu Panda edition will be auctioned off a special charity event, with all proceeds benefitting Panda bears. The Panda starts at £9,375 in the UK, equivalent to just over $13,000 USD, but like so many other charity auctions, the vehicle will likely sell for much more due to the proceeds’ eventual destination.
