The 2016 Fiat 500X has earned an Autotrader ‘Must Test Drive’ award, the car buying website has announced.
Autotrader’s ‘Must Test Drive’ awards are described as consumer-driven awards “designed to highlight 10 vehicles that car shoppers must see to believe.” Autotrader says journalists choose the winning vehicles after logging thousands of test miles on the car and judging them on a diverse set of criteria.
“The Fiat 500X is a baby SUV that’s a bargain, but can feel like a luxury ride too,” Autotrader said of the 500X. “This model has plenty of high-end options like rain-sensing wipers, a blind-spot monitoring system and rear cross-path detection, all of which add to the premium feel.”
Consideration for a ‘Must Test Drive’ award is only given to vehicles available to purchase at the time of the award’s announcement and with a price tag of under $75,000. The vehicles must also offer good value for money and have scored at least a ‘4’ rating in Autotrader’s five-point scale.
When FC Authority drove the 500X last year, we found it to be a competitive entry into the hotly contested subcompact SUV segment. Just like Autotrader, we found its classy character refreshing in comparison to the run-of-the mill looks of its rivals, like the HR-V, for example.
