Usually when a car makes an auto show debut it’s slowly driven out on stage by an executive onto a rotating platform. But Fiat Chrysler had bigger aspirations for the 2017 Ram Power Wagon’s entrance and drove the rugged pickup down a small flight of stairs to demonstrate its off-road prowess to the crowd of journalists in attendance.
The Ram Power Wagon has additional off-road capability over the Ram 2500 thanks to its rugged 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires, 14-inches of ground clearance, gas tank skid plate and more. It also comes standard with a front-mounted Warn winch, which is a necessity for any off-roading adventure.
If you can’t make it out to the 2016 Chicago Auto Show to check out the 2017 Ram Power Wagon for yourself, don’t fret. Fiat Chrysler uploaded a video of it demonstrating the truck’s capabilities at the show to its YouTube page, so you can see it in action before it arrives at dealers later this year.
