Watching cars complete hot laps on automotive programs like Top Gear is fascinating, but Japan’s Best MOTORing takes the entertainment factor to a different level, racing performance cars against one another in short multi-lap sprints on road courses.
Road & Track turned us onto a Best MOTORing video which features two supercars of yesteryear, the Ferrari 360 Modena and Honda NSX Type R, racing against some modern-day household names in performance such as the Ferrari 458, Corvette ZR1 and an Amuse-tuned Nissan 370Z.
The cars aren’t quite evenly matched, but it’s interesting to see how older supercars stack up against something like a Ferrari 458. The various racing drivers Best MOTORing has hired to wheel the cars around the Modulo circuit hold no punches either, giving it all they got as they race side-by-side in this Gran Turismo-style shootout.
