Fiat has debuted a limited edition version of its 500 Abarth called the 595 Abarth Tricolore at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. The model is destined for the United Kingdom only and just 300 units will be produced carrying a pricetag of £15,150.
As its name would suggest, the 595 Abarth Tricolore is available in just three colors: red, white or blue. The model also receives black side stripes, black mirror caps, red brake calipers and special ‘Formula’ style 17-inch alloy wheels.
Under the hood, the 595 Abarth Tricolore remains identical to the Abarth 595. That means it’s packing a 140 horsepower 1.4-liter turbocharged engine with 151 lb-ft of torque mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
In the cabin the Abarth 595 Tricolore differs from standard 500 Abarths thanks to its Tricolore-stitched steering wheel. Otherwise things remain mostly unchanged, with a standard automatic air-conditioning system and a six-speaker audio system with MP3 and CD functionalities.
“With just 300 of the Tricolore packs available on the 595s, and at such a great price, we are sure we’ll attract a new wave of Abarth owners to come and join us. The hardest part will be deciding which colour to go for,” Gerry Southerington, brand manager of Abarth UK, said in a statement.
A video released to promote the new Abarth 595 Tricolore, dubbed ‘The Real Italian Job’ was released today. The film, which is embedded above, also briefly teases the inbound Fiat 124 Spider Abarth. Check it out above.
