We’ve already seen what Hennessey Performance Engineering can do to a Dodge Challenger Hellcat when they modify the car’s factory supercharger, so they’ve decided to take things to another level. The Texas-based tuning company has now unveiled its HPE1000 package for the Challenger Hellcat, which employs both the stock supercharger and a pair of turbochargers to produce over 1,000 HP at the crank.
The HPE1000 upgraded kit consists of twin-ball bearing turbochargers producing 15 psi of boost, a high-flow air to water intercooler system, dual turbo wastegates, high-flow fuel injectors, an upgraded fuel pump and engine management system, a high flow air filter and more. These upgrades, along with the 6.2-liter engines stock roots-type blower, result in 1,032 horsepower and 987 lb-ft of torque, HPE says.
On the road, those power figures translate to a 0-60 mph time of 2.7 seconds and a quarter mile time of 9.9 seconds at 142 mph with drag radials. We’ll be on standby waiting for a video of this triple-charged monster laying down that kind of quarter-mile pass, but in the meantime, you can learn more about the HPE1000 Challenger Hellcat over on Hennessey’s website.
