We imagine owning a Dodge Challenger Hellcat is a sublime experience. There’s probably few things in life better than walking out to a 707 horsepower HEMI muscle car in the morning, but one Challenger Hellcat owner’s experience with the car has been less than positive.
AutoEvolution stumbled across this story on the Hellcat.org forums. One Challenger Hellcat owner had bought a 2015MY vehicle and almost immediately started having issues with it. He made seven total trips to two different dealers to remedy the problem until finally the supercharged 6.2-liter V8 lunched itself completely.
Dodge appeased him by giving him a brand-new 2016MY Challenger Hellcat, which resulted in him giving the automaker a positive review of their handling of the situation. The only downside is the new car Granite Crystal, while his original Hellcat was Sublime Green – a now discontinued color.
“Just wanted to let everyone on this site know that Dodge does stand behind these cars,” the Hellcat owner said in an online post. “I know that some of the dealers are great, some of them not so great and some of them should be out of business but Dodge as a whole, at least in my case, has been very responsive and fair.”
