Fiat Chrysler has shifted the creative responsibilities for its Jeep advertising account from Chicago-based agency FCB to crosstown rival DDB Chicago, AdWeek reports.
DDB Chicago is the same agency that was responsible for producing Jeep’s successful ‘4x4ever’ ad that aired during Super Bowl 50. DDB beat out FCB for the chance to produce the commercial, and has now pushed it aside and taken over the entire Jeep account. Iris Worldwide produced Jeep’s second Super Bowl ad, titled ‘Portraits’.
Last year FCA said it would not name an official Agency of Record for its Jeep brand and assigned project-based work to now defunct agency 72andSunny, according to AdWeek. It then went back on those statements and issued a request for proposal for the brand before making DDB its AOR for Jeep.
