Chrysler has used election season as the inspiration for its latest ad for the Chrysler 200 and Chrysler 300 mid- and full-size sedans, which features actors Martin Sheen and Bill Pullman.
Sheen and Pullman have both played presidents in film and television before and return to their respective roles for the new Chrysler ad. Sheen plays President Josiah “Jed” Bartlett from the series ‘The West Wing,’ while Pullman puts on his President Thomas J. Whitmore role from ‘Independence Day.’
In the ad, Sheen and Pullman pull up next to each other in the 200 and 300 sedans and state that with primary season in full swing, it’s time “to pander to all the nuts on the political fringe,” then “swerve right back to the middle,” following the general election. Luckily for that sharp swerve to the political center, they have blind spot monitoring in their Chrysler sedans.
