Jeep was founded in 1941 when the Willys MB Jeep entered production, making 2016 the year of the automaker’s 75th anniversary. To mark the occasion Jeep has surprised us with an entire lineup of limited-edition 75th Anniversary models, and as a nod to the original Willys, they’ll all be available in a special shade of green.
The center piece of the special edition lineup is the 75th Anniversary Jeep Wrangler ($34,575 for two-door models, $38,375 for four-door models). The 75th Anniversary trim adds low-gloss bronze 17-inch wheels as well as low-gloss bronze tow hooks, jeep badges, grille inserts, bumpers, and headlight rings. Also standard are leather trimmed heated seats, a 6.5-inch touchscreen with Uconnect, rock rails, a Jeep Command-Trac 4×4 transfer case with a 2.72:1 ratio, a Dana 30 front axle and a Dana 44 rear axle.
Also getting the treatment is the Grand Cherokee. In 75th Anniversary edition trim ($36,775), the Grand Cherokee features exclusive low-gloss bronze 18- and 20-inch wheels, leather trimmed or cloth seats with 75th Anniversary edition inserts, gloss black body inserts. and an 8.4-inch touchscreen. Also standard is a blind-spot monitoring system and power sunroof.
Joining the Grand Cherokee is the Cherokee 75th Anniversary ($29,875). Similarly, it features new 18-inch low-gloss bronze wheels, accents and logos and special interior options in the way of cloth seats with Gode-Te inserts and special accent stitching. There’s also a standard dual-pane sunroof and 8.4-inch touchscreen.
The 75th Anniversary edition Renegade ($25,375) again features low-gloss bronze 18-inch wheels, along with low-gloss bronze logos and accents. A Beats audio system is also standard along with the Renegade’s MySky open-air sunroof system.
In what will likely be the final model year for both cars, the Compass ($24,475) and Patriot have also received the 75th Anniversary edition treatment. In the case of the Compass, the vehicle has received low-gloss bronze 18-inch wheels and accents, bronze interior bezel paint, a power sunroof, remote start and a leather wrapped steering wheel. The Patriot ($22,475), meanwhile, gets low-gloss bronze 17-inch wheels and accents, bronze interior bezel paint, remote start, a sunroof and again a leather wrapped wheel.
