Ferrari racecars are typically at home on the road course, however in the 1980s, you could catch a number of Ferrari 308 GTBs on Europe’s tumultuous rally stages competing in the infamous Group B series.
The Ferraris were campaigned by Italian Ferrari dealer Michelotto Racing, who built four examples of the rally machines – one with the two-valve V8 producing 288 horsepower and the rest featuring the Bosch K-Jetronic V8 with 310 horsepower. Ferrari officially backed the program and offered some support Michelotto in their ambitious endeavor, providing them with upgraded components when needed.
One of these legendary Ferrari rally cars recently showed up at the Monza Rally Show 2015, where it was driven on both tarmac and gravel sections of the rally course. YouTube user 19Bozzy92 was on hand the film the spectacle, giving us a rare look at one of these original off-road prancing horses in action.
