Ferrari has introduced an all-new Handling Speciale package for the California T, giving customers the option to make the drop-top grand tourer even more engaging on winding, twisty roads.
The HS package for the California T changes the calibration of the suspension to a Ferrari-tuned setup that is stiffer and sportier. The springs are 16% stiffer in the front and 19% stiffer out back, while the SCM3 magnetorheological dampers have been fine-tuned for increased responsiveness. Ferrari’s F1-Trac logic traction control system has also been revised to provide better acceleration out of corners and on bumpy surfaces.
A new exhaust system is also included in the HS package. The system features two primary pipes with new geometry design to make the engine note progressively louder as the engine revs build. Ferrari says the exhaust was developed in tandem with the engine and gearbox control software and provides a “fuller, richer,” note at all speeds and in all driving scenarios.
The HS package keeps things light on the aesthetics side. The only exterior features setting a California T HS apart from a California T are the Grigio Ferro Met-painted front grille and rear diffuser, matte black grille fences and matte black exhaust tips. Inside, a special plaque is present indicating the car’s status as an HS-equipped model.
The Ferrari California T HS will debut at this year’s Geneva Motor Show in March.
