We’ve driven the Dodge Challenger Hellcat, and take our word for it, the last thing it needs is more power. But Hennessey Performance Engineering has built a business out of delivering unnecessarily powerful performance cars, so naturally, they’ve applied their know-how to the Hellcat.
This probably won’t surprise you, but it didn’t take much for Hennessey to boost output of the 6.2-liter 707 horsepower supercharged Hellcat V8. A new ECU, tuning software, high flow air filter, lower pulley upgrade and port matched throttle body was all it took to make 850 horsepower at the flywheel – an insane amount of power for a relatively mild tune such as this.
