The Dodge Challenger and Charger SRT Hellcat models will be available with optional dual full-length racing stripes for the 2016 model year, giving the 707 horsepower performance cars a “factory-customized look,” the automaker says.
“The SRT Hellcat models are America’s ultimate performance car duo, and these already legendary Challenger and Charger models have given Dodge more than the title of ‘fastest and most powerful muscle cars ever,’ they continue to drive sales records, increase brand profitability, draw new and younger customers to the brand and fuel interest across our entire vehicle lineup – achievements worthy of earning an exclusive set of performance stripes,” said Fiat Chrysler passenger car brand boss Tim Kuniskis.
The racing stripes come in faux carbon-fiber pattern and run the entire length of the car, covering the front and rear fascias, roof and deck lid. The stripes also perfectly contour around the Hellcat twins’ signature NACA duct hood vent, drawing even more attention to the functional design element.
The stripes, available from January 2016 onward, will add an additional $995 to the price of a 2016 Challenger or Charger Hellcat. They will be available in conjunction with every color on the Hellcat color pallete, which includes: Bright White Clear Coat, Redline Red, Pitch Black Clear Coat, Granite Crystal Metallic Clear Coat, Billet Silver Metallic Clear Coat, Jazz Blue Pearl Coat, TorRed Clear Coat, Ivory White Tri-coat, Maximum Steel Metallic and limited-edition Plum Crazy Pearl Coat.
