Host of Motor Trend’s Hot Rod Garage, Tony Angelo, has owned a 1971 Dodge Demon since he was in high school, however the car would break down on him more often than it worked. So for the latest episode of the how-to web show, Angelo decided to give his Demon a new lease on life.
The Demon was in desperate need of new wheels and tires, however Angelo was limited in his options as it still carried the stock bolt pattern in the rear. To remedy this, he swaps a new rear end in and also installs disc brakes at all four corners while he’s at it.
With a fresh rear end, wheels and tires, Angelo then turns his attention to the 340 V8 engine. The engine lunched itself in an earlier episode due to contaminated oil, so in this episode he sends it off to a machine shop to be repaired and drops it back into the Demon.
