Rednecks seem to be the masters of cheap thrills. Between making their own moonshine and building ridiculous junkyard contraptions like the ‘Redneck Rollercoaster’, they know how to have a good time on a budget.
Another good example of budget-minded redneck entertainment is Barbie Jeep Racing, which is exactly what the name implies. Basically, you take one of those plastic Jeeps you see kids riding around in, take out the electric motor and race it down a steep, usually rock-littered hill.
If that sounds dangerous to you, that’s because it is. BJR usually results in huge crashes and a minor injury or two, but it’s all part of the fun. Recently, the Barbie Jeep Racing finals were held in Delta, Alabama (where else?) and YouTube’s ‘BustedKnuckleVideo’ was on hand to catch a few crashes on camera for our amusement.
Check it out in the video above, and if you happen to try BJR for yourself, you might want to layer on the protection.
