The Fiat Fiorino van will be updated for the 2016 model year after going on sale in 2007. This might not seem like big news to us here in North America where the small Fiorino isn’t sold, however AutoEvolution thinks the model could arrive in North America as a Ram once it’s updated.
Ram has pulled from Fiat’s commercial van lineup before. The Ram ProMaster is really a Fiat Ducato, while the ProMaster city is a Fiat Doblo. The Fiorino is smaller than both the Ducato and Doblo, which would give it limited appeal stateside, however Ram’s commercial van lineup has so far proved to be good for the brand, so adding another model seems harmless at this point.
For 2016, the Fiorino will receive a facelifted front fascia and potentially some new diesel engine options. The prototypes spied by AE were pictured wearing heavy camouflage and thus major changes could not be made out, however we should know more once the model debuts in early 2016.
For now, check out the new Fiorino in AE’s spy photos right here.
