The famous Top Gear trio of Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond may have departed the especially popular BBC show in March of this year, however videos of their time spent on the show are still consistently being uploaded to the show’s official YouTube page. Most recently, the BBC posted one of our favorite reviews from all 22 seasons of the motoring program, May’s review of the LaFerrari.
May’s known to his Top Gear peers as Captain Slow, but if the review above was the only video you’d seen of him, you’d never know it. The usually slow Bovril-lover drives the 6.3-liter V12 powered hypercar just as it’s supposed to be driven: like the F1 car it’s hybrid powertrain is derived from.
Making things even more interesting than Captain Slow’s unexpected spirited driving is the weather. On the road it was clear skies and sun, but once he brings the car to Ferrari’s Fiorano test track, things get a little more..damp.
Check it out in the video above.
