Alfa Romeo has partnered with Jumpstart Automotive Group, a newly established automotive marketing and advertising company, to produce a new line of advertorial type advertisements that will run in publications like Autoweek and Car & Driver.
The new advertisements will see Alfa Romeo ads included on pages featuring reviews of certain vehicles. Jumpstart calls them ‘brand point-of-view’ ads and says they allow a manufacturer to explain to the consumer why they should buy their vehicles through a medium they know and trust for expert automotive advice – like Car & Driver, for example.
Alfa Romeo’s brand POV will be featured on Car & Driver’s website throughout the month of December and consists of a full article with both photos and video. To let readers know what they are viewing is technically an advertisement, the brand POVs will be labeled as ‘provided by’ the manufacturer in question.
Jumpstart CEO Nick Matarazzo told Publishers Daily that their new advertising product will be available to all automotive manufacturers and that a “number of them have expressed interest.”
