Earlier this year Fiat Chrysler was giving lucky Uber users rides in Stormtrooper-themed Dodge Charger Hellcats in NYC. That was a one-day affair, but the automaker is continuing its tie-ins with Star Wars: The Force Awakens by debuting the Stormtrooper 500E Concept at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show.
Inspired by the armor of the First Order Legion, the 500E Stormtrooper features a two-tone black and white paint scheme with white vinyl wrap partially covering the windows in order to mimic a Stromtrooper’s helmet. The theme continues on the inside, too, with black and white leather and Alcantara on the seats and doors and a Star Wars logo on the dashboard.
The 500E Stormtrooper is powered by the same 111 horsepower three-phase electric motor as the standard 500E. Fiat says the 500E was chosen as the basis for the 500E Stormtrooper as it is features modern technology and everyday functionality – just like a Stormtrooper’s armor.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens will debut on December 18, 2015, but you can see the 500E Stromtrooper prior to its debut by paying a visit to the Los Angeles Auto Show this month.
