Garage Italia Customs, the tuning firm started by Lapo Elkann, grandson of Gianni Agnelli, has applied its expertise to the Alfa Romeo 4C sportscar to create the 4C ‘La Furiosa’. The one-off model, which debuted earlier this month at the Dubai Motor Show, elevates the look of the 4C both inside and out with a range of tailor made parts and accessories.
The most imposing of Garage Italia’s modifications is the exterior paint finish. The bare carbon fiber roof slowly fades into a matte red hue that Garage Italia calls ‘Accursio’ red, an effect the tuning firm says “only a few experts in the world would be able to duplicate.” Further enhancing the look are gold finish wheels, black and red gradient brake calipers and a special center-mount twin outlet exhaust.
Inside, the 4C La Furiosa features hoardes of red Alcatara. The material adorns the steering wheel, seats, dash, center console and door panels and is accented by black perforated Alcantara on the seats. Black Alcanara is also used for the headliner and A pillars for greater effect.
Garage Italia has made no mention of performance enhancements, however we’re assuming the modifications are limited to exterior changes. That means the same 1.75-liter four-cylidner engine found in the standard version of the car can be found under the hood producing 240 horsepower, which is routed to the rear wheels through a six-speed dual clutch automatic transmission.
