On paper, the 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Verde doesn’t seem all that different from its competitors. Like the Cadillac ATS-V, it has a twin-turbocharged V6 engine, and like the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG, it offers up over 500 horsepower. However Alfa Romeo promises the car offers up a more emotional and passionate driving experience and quite frankly, we’re inclined to believe them.
Passion, emotion and excitement have always been Alfa Romeo’s main exports, and the Giulia seems to be no exception. With a Ferrari-derived 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine, an aforementioned power output of over 500 horsepower and quite possibly the most attractive styling in its class, the Giulia checks all the boxes necessary to make it a true Alfa Romeo.
Alfa Romeo’s first online spot for the Giulia QV, dubbed ‘If Emotion Made A Car’, plays off these typically Alfa Romeo traits. The spot claims that if emotion made a car, pain would make it stronger, loss would feed its need to win, tears would fuel it, and passion would be its motor. It’s a creative way to explain the unique traits that make the Giulia QV so much different than its competition, and we’d be lying if we the ad didn’t get a our heart racing a bit.
Check out the spot above and feel free to share your thoughts on it in the comments below. If you weren’t convinced the Giulia QV was all that great before, watching the ad just may turn you into a believer.
