We have a pretty good idea of what to expect from the upcoming Fiat 124 Spider thanks to the various spy shots of the sports car we’ve seen. Now Fiat themselves is giving us a small glimpse of the ND Mazda Miata-based roadster, though, posting three illustrations of the car to its Facebook page.
The 124 Spider will share its platform with the ND Miata, however the styling and powertrain offerings will be different. You can expect new Fiat front and rear fascias, and brand-specific wheels along with Fiat engine offerings. The 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder packed in the Fiat 500 Abarth is said to serve as the entry-level engine, while the 1.75-liter four in the Alfa Romeo 4C may be employed in the potential 124 Abarth performance variant.
These new teasers don’t give us too much information on the new 124 Spider, however they do confirm that the car will be with us shortly. A debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show later this month seems possible, but if not, we’re expecting it to show up at the 2016 North American International Auto Show in Detroit next January.
