Fiat Chrysler has announced the appointment of Michael Dahl as its new Head of Vehicle Safety and Regulatory Compliance. Dahl replaces Scott Kunselman in the position, who earlier this year announced he would retire after spending over 30 years with the automaker.
Dahl, who joined Chrysler in 1985, was previously Fiat Chrysler’s director of gasoline and diesel engine programs and global powertrain coordination. He was responsible for development of six new engines – including the highly regarded 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6.
With plenty of experience, a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Oakland University, Dahl is well equipped for the role.
