Fiat Chrysler has a huge 15,345-square-foot display showcasing various Mopar performance products and concept cars at this year’s SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The automaker says each of the concepts “represents real-world examples” of Mopar’s “continued commitment to helping owners create customized dream rides,” and that includes one especially interesting Challenger.
The Challenger GT AWD concept, as you may have guessed, is an all-wheel drive version of Dodge’s 5.7-liter HEMI V8 powered muscle car. Dodge says it combines “wickedly fast power and performance with the confidence of increased traction,” allowing it to be driven with ease year-round and in any type of weather.
Under the hood is the same 5.7-liter HEMI V8 found in standard Challenger ScatPack models, however it has been upgraded with Mopar’s ScatPact 3 performance pack. This includes Mopar Performance CNC-ported cylinder heads, Mopar hi-flow manifolds and hi-flow catalysts, a gasket set, exhaust manifolds and an exhaust adapter, bumping power by 75 horsepower and 44 lb-ft.
The exterior has been enhanced with Destroyer Grey paint, Header Orange accents on the headlights, mirror caps, grille and taillight surrounds and a body-color stripe running through the upper matte black portion of the vehicle. There’s also a wide body kit housing Mopar concept 20-inch wheels complimented by a front chin splitter, rear spoiler, Mopar exhaust tips and other small touches.
Inside Mopar has added Header Orange stitching and accents, rich Katzkin leather seats, a flat bottom steering wheel, Mopar door sill guards with the Challenger logo and special trunk mat.
