Fans of the Hunger Games series may already know this, but the second movie adaptation of the Mockingjay novel is set to be released on November 20. It’s highly anticipated by fans of the series, and Dodge has decided to use the buzz surrounding the movie to promote its new vehicle lineup.
Some movie and TV endorsements make more sense than others, like Dodge’s Breaking Bad tie-in, for example. We find this Hunger Games promotion a bit forced, but we’re hardly complaining about a commercial that is basically just a Dodge Durango, Charger and Challenger doing fiery burnouts in the shape of a ‘Mockingjay’.
They don’t drive cars in the Hunger Games, which is what makes us feel as though this endorsement is a bit misguided, but the Hunger Games is all about rebellion – something Dodge backs wholeheartedly. Check out the 30-second spot in the video above, and let us know what you think in the comments.
