For years now the Bondurant School of High Performance Driving has relied on General Motors vehicles to teach its students the ways of the road course, but as of January 1, 2016, those who sign up for lessons with the school will find themselves behind the wheel of a Dodge.
Bondurant will convert its entire fleet of vehicles over from Chevrolets to Dodges, with SRT providing them with 100 cars including Viper ACRs and Challenger and Charger Hellcats. Additionally, customers who purchase a 2015 or 2016 SRT vehicle will have the opportunity to attend the school themselves and see experience what their car is truly capable of.
“We want drivers to develop an appreciation for the levels of performance our Dodge/SRT vehicles are capable of delivering,” said Dodge passenger car boss Tim Kuniskis. “Teaming up with Bob Bondurant, whose method of training has served more than a half-million drivers from around the world for nearly half a century, gives our Dodge/SRT owners the perfect track environment and professional guidance to hone their performance driving skills and gives us the chance to expose our lineup of SRT vehicles to a new group of performance car enthusiasts.”
SRT buyers will have one year from their purchase or lease date to take advantage of the Bondurant offer. Participants are encouraged to make a weekend trip out of the endeavor, however Dodge won’t cover your travel or accomodations – that’s all on you.
“In 47 years of being the global expert on driving instruction, I’ve been waiting for the right circumstances to launch the Bondurant Racing School to honor my championship legacy,” Bob Bondurant added. “Finally, that day is here. The Dodge/SRT muscle cars provide me the perfect platform needed to thoroughly teach road racing.”
