Fiat has already given us a sneak peek at its upcoming Toro compact pickup, however the model has now been photographed completely undisguised in Fiat’s factory in Brazil.
The Fiat Toro was first previewed by the FCC4 concept Fiat showed at last year’s Sao Paulo Motor Show and was also shown online early last month by the automaker. These spy shots, however, captured by IndianAutosBlog, show us multiple angles of the production version of the double-cab truck.
Based on Fiat Chrysler’s ‘Small Wide 4×4’ architecture that underpins the Jeep Renegade crossover, the Toro will be front-wheel drive in the lower ‘Urban’ and ‘Adrenaline’ trim lines. A 1.8-liter 138 horsepower E-Torq Flex four-cylinder will serve as the base engine, while a 170 horsepower Multijet turbodiesel will be available in the ‘Adrenaline’ trim and the top-specification ‘Country’ trim. Only ‘Country’ models will be available with four-wheel drive.
We’ve yet to see photos of the Toro’s interior, however it should follow typical Fiat design language and will also feature an available Fiat Chrysler’s Uconnect infotainment system with a five-inch touchscreen. Other options will include xenon headlights, LED daytime running lights, fog lights and bright underbody protection.
Check out the photos over at IndianAutosBlog before the Toro goes on sale in Q1 2016.
