The 2016 Jeep Patriot has received a a four-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Edmunds reports.
The Patriot, which is likely in its final model year in 2016 after joining the Jeep portfolio in early 2007, received a three-star frontal crash test rating, five star side crash test rating and three-star rollover crash test rating. Five stars is the highest rating for any test.
Jeep offers several astandard safety features on the 2016 Patriot including six airbags, electronic stability control, electronic roll mitigation, hill-start assist and antilock brakes. A rearview camera is optional.
The replacement for the Patriot, which is yet to be named, was recently spied testing by photographers ahead of its debut – which is thought to occur sometime in 2016.
