In July, Ferrari pulled the wraps off the 488 Spider – the drop-top version of its twin-turbocharged 670 horsepower supercar. Then in September the automaker brought the car along to the Frankfurt Motor Show to show it to their German fans in person.
Most recently, Ferrari shipped the 488 Spider off to Yokohama, Japan for the model’s Japanese debut. The automaker says “Close to 300 passionate VIP guests attended the Japanese Premiere held in an exclusive location at the oldest pier,” in Yokohama, and even though we weren’t one of them, we can still experience the event through Ferrari’s YouTube channel.
Check out Ferrari’s short video re-cap of the 488 Spider’s Japanese debut in the video above. It looked like quite the special event, with some of the 488’s successors being shown alongside it for the debut– including the 308 GTS, the celebrated 355 Spider and the gorgeous 458 Spider.
